End of Season summer blues for Gladstone Bowling Club

Sunday saw Gladstone Bowling Club holding their exciting end of season club competitions under glorious blue skies. Although it was sad to see another enjoyable season come to an end, the five finals produced some closely fought games, providing a great finale to the season for the watching spectators and players alike.

In the Chairman’s Cup,  Grahame Beer beat his opponent Allan Botterell, in the Elvet Ellis Cup, Chris Beer triumphed over Grahame Beer and in the Tony Charles Shield,  Chris & Grahame Beer gained a difficult win over Pat Ebrell & Simon Walker.

In the Queensferry Sports Cup, Mervyn Roberts earned a well-deserved victory over Allan Botterell and finally in the Gwyn Ethelston-Jones Bowl competition Sylvia Townley lost to Chris Beer.
